2009 resolution..

Better late than never;p

2 weeks ago in the church, the priest was talking about resolution.
Resolution describes how we wanted to improve the quality of our lives..
It enables us to assess our self-development by the end of a year..
At the end of a year, we might not fulfill the entire resolution..or we might achieve something that we did not expect..
I personally believe that the journey to the end itself will enrich us:)

So, here are my resolution for 2009:

  1. Live a healthier life
Despite the fact that I am not fat, I have a high body fat index;p
I can see where that coming from..
I was not careful at all in choosing my meal..
I did not regularly exercise, especially after I'm working in Jakarta..

    Goal:
    • Regularly exercise every morning
    • Reduce fast food and fried food
    • Eat more vegie and fruits

  2. Manage my cash-flow
I have to admit that I am not the kind of person who keeps track of every single Rupiahs I spent..
I do save my income with a reasonable amount..
I am also aware where I spent most of my money..
but I feel like I need to monitor my spending in a more detail way *it's gonna be useful in the future anyway;p*

    Goal:
    • Maintain an individual expense report;p
    • Separate my income saving from my expense saving
    • Earn extra income from my income;p

  3. Pass my CISA Exam
I am going to register for June exam.
Hopefully I can manage my time between jobs and preparing the exam..

  4. Fill my weekend with useful activities
Some option: take a course (language or music ), tutoring..
    Any other idea??
Well..that's pretty much all I could think of until now..

Memories of 2008..

2008 was full of valuable and enriching experiences for me.
Lots of fun, joy and laugh shared a lot of people..
Lots of tears, but I had the support from my friends..
Lots of time I felt like giving up, but there were always people who held my hand..
Lots of lessons learned..about myself and my loved ones..
And for that, I thank all of you:)

Here's a recap of what's been happening in my life last year:

  1. Starting my new job at the beginning of the year
btw, next Wednesday (7 Jan 2009) will mark my 1st year at the office;p
  2. Bought my first ever digital camera Canon SX100IS.
And now I'm craving for an SLR *lol
  3. 1-week-trip to Singapore, where I attended one of my best friend's wedding
  4. Falling in love all over again with him..
After surviving the lowest point in our relationship, I just fell in love all over again..
  5. Trip to Bangka-Belitung with my office.
    Such a beautiful place!!!!
  6. Getting promoted at the office:)
I will try to do my best for upcoming jobs:D
Welcome 2009..
May this new year becomes the year of inspiration and the year of sharing:)

Happy new year to all of you:D

Canon SX 100 IS

I finally got myself a digital camera!!

I bought a Canon SX 100 IS last Saturday.
I haven't had a chance to really explore the camera, but having the camera itself is satisfying;p

Why?
1. That was my first time (after quite a while) spending quite an amount of money at one transaction;p
2. After 1.5 year of wanting (wanting to buy not to pay for it;p), I finally spare my savings to buy a digital camera..

I'm going to Singapore this Saturday for one week..
I have planned this vacation since last January;p

The Agenda:
1. Attending my friend's wedding
2. Sight-seeing and food-tasting;p
3. Gathering with my friends

take good care of your body..

Only now that I can grasp the meaning behind the saying:
"If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that money can't buy"

I was sick for almost 2 weeks..
For GOD knows why, my leukocytes level drop below normal.
It made me weak and cannot do anything except slept for the whole day.
I lost 2 kg within 1.5 weeks..

It all started with me having a drowsy feeling while heading to the office.
I didn't turn on the air-con in my car, and yet I felt so cold..
At first I thought I was having one of those painful-PMS..

I decided to turn my car and go home..
I called my office to inform them that I wasn't feeling well..
I slept until noon, and when I wake up..
I found myself having those dengue fever symptoms:
~ fever
~ nausea
~ severe headache
~ muscle and joint paints
~ terrible pain behind my eyes

Later that night, my doctor asked me to do a blood test first thing in the morning.
I did..and the result was a low level of leukocytes.
Mine is 2900, whereas I should have a minimum of 5000..
And there you go...bed rest for 1.5 weeks..

My first month working, and I'm already taking 8 days of sick leaves^^'

All I can think of when I was sick was:
I want to get better..I hate being sick..
Why didn't the medicine get me any better?
I'd do anything just to be healthy again..

And YES..
I am now more aware of my health..
Health, love, consciousness, family, friends..myself...those are some of the things that money CANNOT buy..

stay healthy all..
